Personal Statement
Dr. Dolores López-Terrada and the members of the Division of Genomic Medicine are dedicated to provide Molecular and Genomic Pathology, state-of-the-art diagnostic services for children and their families. The main goals of the Division are to advance patient care through technology and innovation in oncology and constitutional testing, and to support patient-centered, individualized, multidisciplinary patient care, in which molecular and genomic testing are a standard of care.
Dr. López-Terrada’s research interests include the biology of embryonal malignancies, pediatric liver tumors, and soft tissue tumors, and the discovery and clinical translation of diagnostic biomakers for these patients. Her reserach laboratory is involved in genomic, expression and methylation profiling of histologic subtypes of pediatric liver tumors, and in the analysis of developmental and oncogenic pathways relevant to hepatoblastoma and other pediatric liver tumors.
Dr. Lopez-Terrada is board certified in both Molecular Genetic Pathology and Anatomic Pathology.
