Get to know Danielle D. Sweeney, MD, FAAP
Dr. Sweeney specializes in reconstructive pediatric urology, minimally invasive and robotic urologic surgery, and kidney stone disease. She moved to Austin in 2009 and was a partner in a private practice group affiliated with Dell Children's Medical Center prior to joining Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Sweeney was the first surgeon in Central Texas to use the DaVinci Surgical Robot in children and is well-recognized as a top doctor for pediatric urology.
Prior to role at Texas Children’s Hospital North Austin Campus, she was the executive director a global health nonprofit/NGO that provides urologic training, education, patient care and research mentorship in low-resource areas around the world. She has been involved in global surgery programing throughout Africa, Central America and Asia.
