Get to know Craig Authement, MD
Dr. Authement is a Pediatric Nephrologist who specializes in caring for pediatric patients with issues pertaining to the kidney, both acute and chronic. His expertise encompasses the full spectrum of renal disease including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, kidney stones, nephrotic syndrome, hypertension and congenital anomalies of the urinary tract, among others. He utilizes evidence-based practice and shared decision making to empower patients and families to make informed decisions and take ownership of their health.
Personal Statement
I am committed to providing excellent patient and family centered care primarily at the Texas Children’s West Campus. As a former pediatric renal patient, I take great pride in providing care for patients with kidney disease of all forms. I believe health care is a crucial collaboration between patients and their care team, and I strive to individualize care for each patient to meet their needs. As a native Texan, I enjoy providing care and expertise in my local community.
