Get to know Carolyn M. Landsberg, MD, FAAP
I believe that the best way to get better is to be actively engaged in your treatment, so I take time to help my patients better understand their injuries and goals of treatment with each visit. Having faced injuries myself, I understand how hard it can be for a young athlete to have to take time away from their team and sports that they enjoy.
My passion for sports also extends outside of clinic. I enjoy many different activities including running, swimming, biking, yoga, crossfit, and other outdoor activities such as hiking and paddle boarding.
Dr. Landsberg specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sports related injuries and musculoskeletal concerns. She strives to understand the underlying cause of the pain or injury and educate patients, parents, coaches, and trainers so that they can take an active role in the individualized treatment plan. Her goals for each patient are to help them recover and return to their sport as well as provide them with tools to keep their bodies healthy as they continue to be active through childhood, adolescents, and into adulthood. She has served as a team physician for collegiate and professional teams, including the University of Miami athletics and the Miami Marlins. She has worked with Olympic athletes as a volunteer sideline physician at the 2016 Rio Olympics and as the team physician for the US Sailing Olympic team. She enjoys being active in sports and physical activity as well and has completed multiple Ironman triathlons and marathons.
