Get to know Caroline L. Young, MD
Dr. Caroline Young is a Pediatric Critical Care Physician with a clinical focus in the care of critically ill children with congenital and acquired heart disease. Her interests include pediatric cardiac critical care, extracorporeal life support, patient safety, quality improvement and clinical outcomes. She is passionate about providing thoughtful, family-centered care to children with complex and life-threatening illnesses and is committed to medical education and the development of future physicians. Her academic interests also include physician leadership and health care administration.
Personal Statement
I am committed to providing compassionate, thoughtful and family-centered care to critically ill children and their families. I believe that caring for a child means caring for the entire family, especially during some of life's most challenging and uncertain moments. I strive to build trust through open communication, active listening and collaboration, ensuring that families feel heard, supported and involved in their child's care.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy creative pursuits, staying active and exploring my new city of Houston with my husband.
