Dr. Birce Taskin is a board-certified Pediatric Neurologist and Epileptologist. Her clinical interests include drug-resistant epilepsy, pediatric epilepsy surgery, developmental and epileptic encephalopathies including DEE-SWAS (Developmental and/or Epileptic Encephalopathy with Spike-Wave Activation in Sleep). Her research focuses on epilepsy surgery outcomes, neurophysiological biomarkers, developmental and epileptic encephalopathies. Dr. Taskin is committed to advancing clinical care through multidisciplinary collaboration, research, and the education of future pediatric neurologists and epileptologists.
Personal Statement
I am a pediatric neurologist, clinical neurophysiologist and epileptologist dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for children with epilepsy. My clinical interests include drug-resistant epilepsy, pediatric epilepsy surgery, developmental and epileptic encephalopathies. I am passionate about working closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans that improve quality of life and long-term outcomes. As a physician, my goal is to combine outstanding clinical care, meaningful research, and education to improve the lives of children with epilepsy while mentoring the next generation of pediatric neurologists and epileptologists.
