Dr. Ashish Ankola is a pediatric cardiologist and pediatric intensive care physician specializing in pediatric cardiac intensive care. He strives to provide the highest quality, cutting edge, and compassionate care to pediatric patients with critical acquired and congenital heart disease utilizing a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. Navigating families through critical cardiac disease and the postoperative period is easily the most gratifying part of his work and a privilege. His academic interests center on improving the quality of care in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit with a focus on bleeding, thrombosis and anticoagulation, as well as temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support.
