Dr. Macias is a Hospitalist committed to providing equitable care to all hospitalized children. Her interests include caring for underserved populations. She is currently completing scholarly work in language equity with the hopes of improving communication with patients and families who speak languages other than English.
Personal Statement
I am a board-certified pediatrician and completed my resident and fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's. I am committed to providing equitable and quality care for all children through evidence-based medicine. My interests include caring for underserved and minority populations. My research focuses on promoting language equity in inpatient care by improving communication with patients and families who speak languages other than English.
