Alicia Howell is a family nurse practitioner at Texas Children's Cancer Center. She has over 20 years experience as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. Her experience has been working with children and adults with cancer and blood disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
She considers it a great privilege to care for childhood cancer survivors, both children and adults, helping them navigate the long-term effects of their treatments and optimize their health throughout life.
Alicia is also interested in research initiatives focused on survivorship and continual improvement of health to those affected by childhood cancer.
She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, as well as by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) as a Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse (CPHON).
