Get to know Alfonso Hoyos-Martinez, MD, FAAP
Dr. Hoyos-Martinez is a pediatric endocrinologist who specialized in the fields of endocrine effects of cancer, and thyroid and neuroendocrinology disorders. He is devoted to providing the highest stands of clinical care and maintains active in clinical research, quality improvement and teaching.
Personal Statement
I joined the Texas Children's Hospital Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes in September 2021 after completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the same institution. I have a diverse background and training, and I am committed to providing high-quality care to patients and families using a multi-disciplinary approach. I have a great interest in the areas of neuroendocrinology, thyroid, and endocrine effects of cancer and its treatment, especially oncofertility. This is where I have focused my research, clinical and quality improvement efforts; allowing me to provide patient care at highest standard, developing guidelines and optimizing best practices. My goal is to continue to work in these arenas, striving to advance the field of pediatric endocrinology, and provide the best care possible for patients and families.
