Aderonke Olufikayo Adekunle-Ojo, MBBS, MHA, is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Emergency Medicine, at Baylor College of Medicine and an attending physician in the Emergency Department at Texas Children’s Hospital. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine and has served the Texas Children’s Hospital system since 1999. Her clinical expertise includes pediatric emergency medicine, observation medicine, utilization management and evidence-based care.
A dedicated clinician, educator, mentor and physician leader, Dr. Adekunle-Ojo has been recognized for excellence in patient care, teaching and educational contributions, including Baylor College of Medicine’s Master Clinician Award. Through her clinical, academic and administrative roles, she is committed to safe, high-quality pediatric care, education, mentorship and continuous improvement in health care delivery.

My approach to care is grounded in compassion, clinical excellence and a deep commitment to supporting children and families during vulnerable moments. As a pediatric emergency physician, I believe every child deserves safe, timely, evidence-based care that honors the child’s needs and the family’s concerns. In each encounter, I strive to bring calm, clarity, empathy and thoughtful clinical decision-making.
My approach is also shaped by a commitment to continuous improvement and the responsible use of health care resources. I value systems that promote reliable care, including clear protocols, strong communication, accurate documentation and collaborative problem-solving.
I believe that caring for children requires both expertise and humanity.
