About
My clinical interests focus on providing quality care for healthy newborns, in addition to the early recognition, diagnosis and management of abnormal findings in the newly born baby. My other area of clinical focus involves the palliative care of newborns with life-limiting conditions.
My philosophy of care includes the desire to provide excellent newborn care in an environment that supports the involvement of the entire family unit. This concept of family-centered care not only nurtures the mother-baby relationship, but also functions as a tool to aid parents in providing the safest, most responsible care for their newborn after discharge to home. Additionally, learners are a part of my daily activities, and I strive to integrate this philosophy of care into the education of my residents, students, and nurses.
