Research Statement
As an ophthalmic pathologist, Patricia Chévez-Barrios conducts all tumor biopsies and diagnostic analyses for the Retinoblastoma Center of Houston. Learn more at houstonmethodist.org
Dr. Chévez-Barrios studies retinoblastoma, including cancer stem cells, suicide gene therapy for retinoblastoma, the study of metastatic properties of retinoblastoma and preclinical models of the tumor. She is a research leader for the Retinoblastoma Center of Houston, where she also directs the tumor bank.
