Brain stimulation improves memory in autism mouse models
A study from the laboratory of Dr. Jianrong Tang and others at the Duncan NRI shows chronic electrical stimulation of the fornix, a bundle of nerve fibers deep in the brain, rescues learning and memory deficits in mice with mutations of the autism-linked gene CDKL5. The original research was published in the Journal of Neuroscience.
