Texas Children’s Hospital Names Russ Williams as Senior Vice President of Austin Hospital

HOUSTON (March 8, 2023) – Texas Children’s Hospital is pleased to welcome Russ Williams as Senior Vice President of Texas Children’s Hospital North Austin Campus. Texas Children’s is building on its existing services that cater to the central Texas community by opening a freestanding, state-of-the-art hospital to house its nationally ranked specialties in 2024. Williams’ appointment to this key role reinforces the hospital’s commitment to serve Austin families by providing premier patient care from world-class specialists and pediatricians.

As Senior Vice President, Williams will be tasked with executing progressive ideas to amplify Texas Children’s mission and impressive expansion into Austin. He will work as a visionary and key planner to radically improve the lives and care of children and women in the region.

Williams joins the Texas Children’s Hospital network with more than 20 years of experience successfully navigating complex healthcare systems with academic components. Prior to this appointment, Williams was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Seattle Children’s and led some of its largest construction and expansion plans to date. He also previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Riley Children’s Hospital at Indiana University Health and Vice President of Operations at Fairview Southdale Hospital.
