Virtual Care appointments cannot be made outside the state of Texas. However, you can use the tools on this webpage to assist in diagnosing your child to make a virtual appointment with your local provider.
No. You can start scheduling an appointment without an account. Patients must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to have a Virtual Care visit.
All you need is a smart phone, a tablet or computer with two-way video capabilities. Please make sure your device is plugged in or fully charged ahead of your visit. If you would like additional privacy or are hearing-impaired, headphones are also recommended.
Please be advised that a virtual visit is considered an office visit, and may result in a co-pay charge according to your insurance coverage. For further information on insurance and billing please click here.

We accept most insurance plans. Dependent on your plan, a copay may be required. Your Texas Children’s Virtual Care visit is eligible for FSA reimbursement. To check if your insurance plan is covered, contact your insurance provider or click here for a list of insurance plans we accept. We also offer a self-pay option, starting at a flat rate of $175*.
*Self-pay rates start at $175. Should you need services beyond Texas Children’s Virtual Care, your self-pay rate may increase.
No. This cost is covered by your Virtual Care appointment. If, during your Virtual Care appointment, you are asked to come into a Texas Children’s Urgent Care, you will not be charged for a second appointment fee.
Appointments are available every day including weekends from 9 a.m. – 11 p.m., except for these holidays.
Thanksgiving Day: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Christmas Day: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
New Year’s Eve: 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
