We welcome walk-ins for X-rays and EKGs. Walk-ins are accepted Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 11:30 am and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, excluding holidays.

The Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition service at Texas Children's Hospital brings multiple specialists together to treat children with various gastrointestinal diseases and nutrition problems across the country. The program offers comprehensive surgical services for a broad range of diagnoses from routine to highly complex.

Texas Children's Pulmonary Medicine provides care for a wide range of respiratory disorders.

Comprehensive care and treatment for children and adolescents with acute and chronic injuries.

The Urology Division at Texas Children's Hospital offers the most advanced surgical care for routine urological needs as well as genitourinary problems related to congenital birth defects, trauma and a range of other medical conditions.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation provides physical, occupational and speech therapy assessment and treatment to patients of all ages. Our specialists see patients with a wide variety of diagnoses including:

The Sports Medicine Physical Therapy program at Texas Children’s Hospital is designed to meet the needs of the young athlete. From personalized sports physical therapy regimens to rehabilitation following injury and surgery, our experienced physical therapists help young athletes get back into the game quickly and safely.

Our program consists of:

  • Individualized evaluation of each athlete along with a customized rehabilitation program.
  • Customized treatments to help each child maximize their potential using advanced pediatric rehabilitation techniques, including:
    • Motion analysis
    • Performance testing
    • Manual therapy
    • Strengthening
    • Flexibility training
    • Neuromuscular re-training
    • Treatment of orthopedic injuries 
  • Ongoing consultations with the young adult, parents/guardians, families, coaches and physician to help ensure appropriate intervention for the child.
  • Functional and performance testing at the end of therapy to determine readiness to play and establish strategies to help the athlete stay healthy.
