From concept to clinic
Shepherding breakthrough discoveries from invention to market requires dedicated support at every stage. We provide our physicians and scientists with a wide range of resources for therapeutic and device development, creating a fertile environment for innovation. Collaborating with technology transfer specialists at BCM Innovation Institute, we then help researchers pursue patent protection and commercialize their inventions through licensing to suitable industry partners or start-up companies. In addition, Baylor’s Office of Sponsored Research assists with collaborative agreements, which frequently lead to patentable discoveries and future licensing opportunities. Together, these resources accelerate the transition from lab innovation to clinical application.
