Get to know Vathsala Ariyaratna, MD, FAAP
Dr. Ariyaratna (known by her patients as Dr. Ari) was born and raised in Texas and has dedicated her career to caring for children and families in her home state.
Dr. Ari has been part of Texas Children’s Pediatrics since 2019, beginning her career at the Kingwood clinic before transitioning to The Woodlands clinic in 2026.
She believes strongly in the value of anticipatory guidance that helps parents understand what to expect at each developmental stage so they can confidently support their children’s growth. She also believes in explaining the “why,” not just the “what,” empowering parents to make informed decisions. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based medicine, and she strongly supports childhood vaccination as a lifesaving tool for preventing disease.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ari enjoys spending time with her family and friends, baking, traveling, and attending concerts and Broadway musicals.
