“Using my knowledge and clinical expertise to help patients and their families build a community of healthy children.” - Stuart M. Gagie
Stuart is a physical therapist who specializes in the therapeutic management and care of children with abnormal development. Clinical interests primarily focus on helping children learn to move and interact with their families after pathological changes such as severe trauma, brain injury, orthopedic injuries, amputations, neuromuscular disorders, and cancer. Stuart hopes that by using the latest evidenced-based interventions and practice models, he can help children lead healthier lives and better participate with their families. Stuart embraces the World Health Organizations patient-centered practice model and focuses his clinical practice around helping parents gain skills and knowledge to be independent in caring for their children.
Stuart completed his graduate studies at the University of St. Augustine in 2017. He earned a bachelor of science in human physiology from Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University. Stuart grew up among The Great Lakes and has always enjoyed the outdoors. He is an avid kiteboarder, backpacker and runner, and has completed multiple marathons. Stuart is committed to being a lifelong learner, and is presently pursuing his neurodevelopmental treatment certification at Duke University, and studying for the pediatric clinical specialty boards.
