Get to know Stephanie R. Sisley, MD, FAAP, Dipl. ABOM
Dr. Stephanie Sisley is a Pediatric Endocrinologist specializing in genetic forms of obesity. She is the co-Medical Director for the Genetic Disorders of Obesity Program at Texas Children’s Hospital. She works closely with her genetic colleagues to determine the causes of severe obesity in young children and how to treat these disorders more precisely. Dr. Sisley is also a basic science researcher with several publications in PubMed. Her lab focuses on determining the role of the vitamin D receptor in the brain on weight and glucose regulation as well as determining how different genetic changes result in obesity in young children. She is also the lead site investigator for several clinical trials.
