Get to know Stephanie Chapman, PhD
Stephanie Chapman is a Psychologist, Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and Clinical Program Director of Primary Care Psychology at Texas Children’s Hospital. In her work Dr. Chapman provides bilingual (English/Spanish) consultation, diagnostic and therapy services within an integrated interdisciplinary team. Her research interests are in primary care behavioral health integration, treatment of disruptive behaviors, early child development and in improving health care service for low-income and minority-status communities.
Personal Statement
I love coming to work every day to serve families and help them meet their children's emotional and behavioral needs. As a parent myself, I feel honored to be trusted in caring for our world's most precious resource, our children. I also believe that health care needs to be convenient and accessible and feel passionate about building primary care behavioral health services across Texas Children's. When I'm not in clinic, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my grown children, playing all sorts of sports and being outside, surfing, paddling or hiking.
