Personal Statement
I am deeply committed to caring for children and families with compassion, respect, and genuine partnership. My philosophy of care centers on listening closely, understanding the whole child, and working collaboratively with families to create thoughtful, individualized plans. I believe that every child has unique strengths and potential, and I care passionately about supporting their health, development, and overall wellbeing. In every interaction, I look for ways to help children optimize their full developmental potential — not just academically or behaviorally, but socially, emotionally, and within their family and community life.
As a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician, I am especially dedicated to children with autism, ADHD, learning differences, developmental delays, and complex neurodevelopmental needs. These journeys can feel overwhelming for families, and I see my role as both a medical expert and a steady guide — helping families understand their child, navigate systems, and make confident, informed decisions. I value evidence-based care, but I also recognize that care must be practical, flexible, and tailored to real life.
Teaching, mentoring, and improving systems of care are also important parts of my work, because better-trained professionals and better-designed programs ultimately mean better outcomes for children. Outside of clinical work, I am committed to my community and to advocacy efforts that support children with developmental differences and their families. This work continually reminds me why I chose this field: to help children be understood, supported, and given every opportunity to thrive.
