Personal Statement
Exercise is one of the best prescriptions for better health. The practice of sports medicine enables children and adults to continue an active, healthy lifestyle and provides education and guidance on their journey.
Sports and medicine are my passions and my time as a college athlete, schoolteacher, and coach gives me insight into the life of the young athlete. I am committed to working together with the injured patient to develop a plan that will facilitate healing and equip them to reach their full potential.
My research experience involves the implementation of a major public health intervention demonstrating the positive influence that athletics can have on our society, particularly for the pediatric population.
