Megnon Stewart is the Assistant Clinical Director for NICU II at Texas Children's Hospital, where she combines her extensive nursing expertise with a passion for patient- and family-centered care. In her role, Megnon is dedicated to improving the transition from hospital to home for NICU families, ensuring they feel supported and prepared every step of the way.
In addition to her focus on the patient and family experience, Megnon oversees nursing education for the Newborn Center, creating opportunities for professional growth and continued learning for nursing staff. Her leadership emphasizes the importance of skill development, evidence-based practice and a culture of excellence. Through her efforts, Megnon strives to empower nurses to deliver exceptional care while advancing their careers.
Personal Statement
I am passionate about fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for both patients and staff. I believe in providing high-quality, evidence-based care that not only meets the medical needs of patients but also supports families through active listening, engagement and personalized care. My philosophy of care centers on building trust and empowering families as they navigate the NICU journey and transition home.
Beyond my professional role, I am dedicated to volunteering and supporting retention efforts that foster a positive and empowering environment for leaders and staff. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new hobbies and engaging in community service initiatives that align with my commitment to making a positive impact.
