Dr. Sammer’s goal is to positively improve quality of care and outcomes for patients. As a pediatric imager, ensuring children have equal access to high quality medical imaging is paramount. To accomplish, Dr. Sammer emphasizes data driven processes to bring cutting edge technology into clinical practice in a reliable and useful manner.
Clinically, Dr. Sammer specializes in Pediatric Radiology at Texas Children’s Hospital and is primarily based at The Woodlands campus. She is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology with additional subspecialty certification (Certificate of Added Qualification) in Pediatric Radiology. Dr. Sammer performs all aspects of Pediatric Radiology with an emphasis on Body Imaging. She has multiple peer reviewed publications, including in Pediatric Radiology, the American Journal of Roentgenology, and the Journal of Nuclear Medicine. Awards she has received for research include the Society of Nuclear Medicine Pediatric Imaging Council Young Investigator Award, and recognition from the RSNA, ARRS, and the University of Washington. Her approach to patient care is to provide appropriate and accurate imaging in a convenient and family friendly environment.
