Dr. Kristen Fisher is a Pediatric Neurologist who specializes in treating children with neuroinflammatory conditions, particularly those with severe presentations in the critical care unit, including autoimmune encephalitis, demyelinating diseases, and diseases with immune dysregulation. Additionally, she cares for children with genetic disorders that can lead to neuroinflammation. She is invested in rare neuroinflammatory diseases in the neurocritical care and in ways to improve treatment protocols and clinical outcomes for these patients. Dr. Fisher frequently is present at conferences and meetings in the field of neuroinflammation, and she participates in national and international research efforts.
Personal Statement
I am a neurologist with a vested interest in the care of children with rare neuroinflammation and am working to improve the identification, care and outcomes of these patients. I strive to improve our understanding of these diseases through clinical research and clinical care. I believe that working in partnership with the patients and families as a team, we can help improve the care of patients with rare neuroinflammatory disease.
