Get to know Kelly Vargas, OTR, OTD
Kelly Vargas is a bilingual pediatric occupational therapist who graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She specializes in a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, sensory processing disorders, developmental delays and motor skill difficulties. Kelly works closely with children and their families to create individualized therapy plans that promote independence and improve quality of life at home, school and within the community.
Personal Statement
My long-term goal is to help make this world not just accessible, but equitable for everyone, no matter the ability level. As a pediatric occupational therapist, I’m deeply passionate about helping patients reach their full potential by guiding them through the challenges they face in daily life. Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, feel valued and reach their fullest potential, regardless of the challenges they may face. Whether the challenges are physical, developmental, sensory or pain driven, it can create a barrier that prevent kids from fully engaging in the world around them.
By providing encouragement and therapy, I empower children to break through those barriers. After learning how to overcome these challenges, it is not solely about remembering a skill, but more so about being able to implement the skill on your own, each day, with confidence. I am truly honored to be part of each child’s journey, and I strive every day to make a positive, lasting impact on their lives.
