Get to know Kelly O'Shaughnessy, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS
Kelly O'Shaughnessy is a board-certified sports physical therapist at Texas Children's Hospital Medical Center. She is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist and applies these principles to her treatment programs. As a former professional ballet dancer, she has a particular interest in treating dancers of all styles and backgrounds. She also treats many athletes after knee surgery, such as ACL reconstructions and meniscus repairs.
Kelly has presented at national physical therapy conferences and national pediatric sports medicine conferences. She is a mentor and faculty member for the Texas Children's Hospital Sports Physical Therapy Residency.
Personal Statement
I am passionate about providing high-quality, holistic care to my patients and their families. I know firsthand the difficulties faced, both physically and mentally, after a sports injury. I believe that athletes should have a positive experience on their journey back to sports, and I strive to bring this positivity to every physical therapy session.
