Personal Statement
I am a board certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) in the Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Texas Children’s Hospital. Neonatology has been my passion since before I began my nursing career when my cousin had a daughter born with a congenital heart defect (CHD) and was treated at Texas Children’s level IV NICU. I believe that through that experience God molded my heart for this profession. I strive to always provide compassion, family centered care, and always look for opportunities to learn and grow as a provider.
I am involved in training of NNP students, and onboarding of new NNP and hospitalists. I collaborate closely with Baylor physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to provide multi-dimensional care to our infants.
