Get to know Jean Guthrie, PT, DPT
Jean completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and has been working in orthopedics since graduating in 2017. Jean is a certified orthopedic manual therapist and is currently completing her fellowship through OPTIM Manual Therapy. She is a member of the Sports Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. But more importantly, she is a member of the fightin’ Texas Aggie class of 2014.
Jean believes in creating an individualized treatment plan to assist her patients in returning to their sport. She incorporates an evidence-based treatment approach addressing various strength and coordination impairments that are inhibiting performance. She enjoys utilizing manual techniques, progressive loading, and motor retraining to help meet her patient’s goals. Jean’s clinical interests include rehabilitation of ACL injuries and limb salvage procedures.
In her free time, Jean enjoys spending time with friends and staying active with crossfit.
