Personal Statement
Jay Mennel is a physical therapist and the therapy manager for Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands. Jay has been with Texas Children’s Hospital since 2005, starting his career in the medical center. He then transitioned to The Woodlands in 2013. Jay has served on several workgroups and committees including the Therapy Practice Committee since its inception in 2017, which helps drive therapy practice at Texas Children’s Hospital. Jay also helped design, open, and grow the therapy departments at the new Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands campus which opened in 2017.
Jay completed a dual bachelors from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea Ohio where he was also on the varsity cross country and track team. He received his clinical doctorate from Simmons College in Boston Massachusetts in 2005.
Jay is passionate about growing the therapy team in The Woodlands through program and employee development.
