Get to know Javier Chinen, MD, PhD
Dr. Chinen is a specialist in allergic disorders and immunology defects. He has an extensive clinical experience acquired during his work at Centers of Excellence such as the National Institutes of Health, Downstate University of New York and Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Chinen has also completed graduate studies in Immunology, which provide him with the basis for the understanding of allergic and immunological mechanisms of disease. He strives to provide personalized care to his patients, with emphasis on sharing the knowledge needed to manage complex medical conditions.
His areas of academic interest include the diagnosis and treatment of primary immunodeficiencies, and the mechanisms of allergen immunotherapy.
Dr. Chinen's expertise is reflected on his writings as he has authored over 50 scientific articles and book chapters related to human allergy and immunology, and is a Reviewer Board member of the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and Clinical Immunology.
