Janel Tacardon, MS, CCC-SLP

Personal Statement

Janel Tacardon, M.S., CCC-SLP is a senior speech-language pathologist who practices primarily in outpatient therapy, with experience working in the school setting. Her clinical interests include prelinguistic development, receptive and expressive language, articulation and phonological disorders, fluency disorders, augmentative and alternative communication, pragmatics, and literacy. As a Disney Team of Heroes Service Trainer through Texas Children’s Hospital, she understands the importance of delivering evidence-based therapy while showing compassion and having empathy to create a positive experience for her patients and their families. Janel believes in a collaborative approach where all medical staff and family members play a role in helping our patients be efficient and effective communicators.
