Personal Statement
After working with adults following graduation, Heather found her niche working with the smallest patients in the NICU at Texas Children's Hospital in 2005. She has loved working in both inpatient and outpatient. With TCH having contracts with community hospital NICUs, Heather has been able to work with neonates and even see some of her tiniest patients grow up in the outpatient setting. She loves working with feeding and developmental patients, and watching their progress as they grow. Her passion is learning how to better her knowledge in furthering better her patients.
Heather is a mentor for feeding and neonatal therapy, Certified Neonatal Therapist, and a Neonatal Touch & Massage Therapist.
“I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.” –Leonardo da Vinci
