Get to know Greg Olson, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS
Greg Olson is a board-certified clinical specialist in sports physical therapy who specializes in assessing and treating sports and orthopedic injuries, including those of patients who have undergone surgery. While completing a sports physical therapy residency, he worked with a local high school and college, treating athletes in the training room and on the sidelines. He utilizes evidence-based practices as well as advanced tools, such as the Motion Analysis Lab with cameras and force plates, to help patients achieve optimal outcomes.
As a former Division I baseball player, coupled with extensive education, Greg not only understands the physical journey of an athlete from when their injury occurs on-field, but also the accompanying psychological factors as well.
Personal Statement
As a health care provider, I aim to put the patient first – I want them and their family to feel as welcomed and comfortable as possible. My care is also rooted in education. I find that the better a patient understands their injury or pathology and subsequent plan for rehabilitation, the more they can feel in control. In turn, they can discover a more positive and motivated outlook moving forward with physical therapy.
When away from work, I enjoy being outside and active, whether it be working out or playing golf, as well as visiting my family and nieces and nephews. I love sports and, as a native Houstonian, I enjoy cheering on our hometown teams.
Clinical Interests
Lower extremity & ACL rehabilitation in athletes, upper extremity injuries in athletes (baseball, softball, volleyball), Tommy John surgery rehabilitation
