Francisco J. Orejuela, MD

The mission of Dr Orejuela's practice is to provide state of the art care to women with pelvic floor disorders in a personalized and compassionate manner.

Dr. Orejuela received his medical education from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota Colombia. He completed a residency in Urology at the same institution, and subsequently completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with subspecialty certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and an active member of the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons, the American Urogynecologic Society, and the International Urogynecological Association.

Dr. Orejuela is a highly skilled pelvic surgeon and compassionate physician, who has extensive experience, and offers the most advanced techniques of comprehensive pelvic reconstruction. He treats various pelvic related disorders and conditions including: pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, painful bladder syndrome, chronic urinary tract infections, and other related disorders.

By combing advanced pelvic floor imaging, dedicated pelvic floor rehabilitation, tailored pelvic reconstruction with focused patient education, Dr. Orejuela is able to provide the highest level of personalized patient care to help improve his patient's quality of life. Using an evidence-based approach, Dr. Orejuela applies current guidelines of diagnosis and treatment in a patient-centered manner to ensure optimal results and patient satisfaction.

Dr. Orejuela's research interests include pelvic floor imaging, pelvic floor rehabilitation, and patient education. He believes in patient's empowerment through proper education and counseling, to foster the doctor-patient relationship and partnership for sound treatment plans and decision-making.
