Personal Statement
Erin came to Austin in 1994 from her hometown of El Paso, Texas, to attend the University of Texas at Austin where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in English. After a ten-year career with a major financial firm, Erin was called to nursing and became a Registered Nurse in 2008, fulfilling her passion for Pediatrics at Dell Children’s Medical Center. During her time at Dell Children’s, Erin cared for ill and injured children of all ages on the Pediatric Post-Surgical and Trauma Unit. She graduated in 2015 from the University of Texas at Austin with a Master’s of Science in Nursing. Erin is certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for Primary Care by exam through the nationally recognized Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She is a Member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and a National Affiliate Member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Erin is married and has two sons and a daughter. She treasures her family time, and she and her family enjoy taking advantage of the many wonderful activities the city of Austin has to offer.
