Emily Panek, MS, CCC-SLP, CBIS, is a speech-language pathologist who specializes in acquired neurological communication disorders, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and dysphagia in the Acute Outpatient Rehabilitation Program and in the Outpatient Speech, Language, and Learning Clinic at Texas Children's Hospital. She has a variety of experience as a speech-language pathologist working with pediatrics in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient. Her clinical philosophy is rooted in evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary collaborations. Emily is passionate about providing patient-centered therapy that allows her to develop trust and rapport with patients and families. She believes in fostering engaging, salient, evidence-based therapy, and caregiver education and training for positive and functional outcomes.
