Personal Statement
Dr. Brennen strives to provide care that is patient-centered. He understands the significant impact that a diagnosis of congenital heart disease can have on the patient as well as their entire family. Dr. Brennen approaches each case with three main objectives: make an accurate diagnosis, provide the family with a clear understanding of the situation, and optimize treatment so each patient can live their fullest life possible. He is board-certified in General Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease. He is particularly interested in exercise physiology, often working with athletes as well as with patients with congenital heart disease who are interested in improving their physical fitness.
Dr. Brennen was born and raised in western New York. After attending medical school, he served with U.S. Army for six years including a yearlong combat tour in Iraq. Upon completion of his military service, Dr. Brennen pursued a career in Pediatric Cardiology.
