Clarissa Balderas is a certified bilingual speech-language pathologist (SLP) who works to assess, diagnose, and treat pediatric population with language, social communication, and swallowing disorders. She utilizes evidence-based practice while including patient and family goals to establish a holistic approach.
In addition to clinical duties, Ms. Balderas works in research as a bilingual SLP to enhance knowledge in the field and help determine the effectiveness of treatment approach for bilingual (Spanish-English) speaking children with language disorders. She is also working on learning a third language, American Sign Language (ASL), to help provide an additional communication method for nonverbal children, such as children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or with Down Syndrome.
Ms. Balderas holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology.

I am deeply committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to my patients and their families through a holistic approach. I strive to distinguish a language difference from a language disorder in bilingual speaking children. I believe health care is a partnership between patients, families, therapist, doctors, and all other related professionals to achieve optimal care.
