Get to know Charnette P. Taylor, MD, FAAP
Dr. Taylor is a dedicated Pediatrician with a deep commitment to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care to children and their families. After initially working in general pediatrics for almost a decade, Dr. Taylor had the opportunity to become a hospitalist where much of her focus was taking care of newborns and premature infants. Though she found this work incredibly meaningful, she eventually returned to general pediatrics—where her heart truly lies—to reconnect with the full spectrum of childhood development and wellness. Dr. Taylor has a special fondness for working with newborns and toddlers, cherishing the opportunity to support families during these formative and often vulnerable years. A strong advocate for child vaccinations, Dr. Taylor understands the importance of educating families on the safety and effectiveness of immunizations in preventing serious illness.
Personal Statement
From the earliest days of my medical training, I knew I wanted to provide care for children. All my professional experience to date has taught me resilience, attention to detail and the importance of supporting families through the many phases of pediatric growth, development and illness. But my most poignant roles as a mother and a wife undergirds all those experiences. After returning to primary care, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching my families and patients grow. I believe in the power of vaccines to protect our youngest and most vulnerable patients. I view every visit as an opportunity to build trust and partner with families in making informed decisions for their child's health.
