Personal Statement
With over 10 years of experience as an Athletic Trainer in the secondary school setting, I have been able to gain valuable knowledge in the prevention, recognition, and rehabilitation of athletic-related injuries in adolescents. I believe that it is vital to treat the whole patient with quality healthcare from onset of injury to returning them to their respective sport/competition. No patient is defined by their injury and should be treated as such. My goal is to not only help them return to 100%, but also to make sure the family feels like they have received the highest quality service.
Prior to working at Texas Children’s Hospital, I spent 3 years as the Head Athletic Trainer at Cypress Ranch High School. Before that I was the Asst. Athletic Trainer at Cy-Fair High School for 3 years, and spent 6 years as the Head Athletic Trainer at Harmony High School in East Texas before moving to Houston.
