Personal Statement
My philosophy of care encompasses evidence-based practice in conjunction with interdisciplinary collaboration to promote effective and positive patient outcomes.
I have experience in adult and pediatric outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation. Since 2016, I have worked in the inpatient rehabilitation unit at Texas Children’s Hospital specializing in neurological (acquired and traumatic brain injury) cognitive, communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. I recently transferred to acute care to expand my clinical skills in the area of infant feeding/swallowing across settings, in addition to gaining clinical competency and proficiency in critical care (PICU) and transitional care (TICU).
I provide these services in English and Spanish.
