We plan to understand the signaling pathways involved in the lung inflammatory processes, which contribute to the development of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD)-associated pulmonary hypertension (PH). In particular, we are interested in investigating the role of adrenomedullin and regulatory T cells in hyperoxia- and lipopolysaccharide-induced injury in neonatal murine lungs and human neonatal lung derived cells, and translate our bench research to clinical trials for the prevention and or treatment of BPD-associated PH in premature infants.
