Personal Statement
I have always had an increased interest in caring for babies- diving into the role of being a bedside nurse, and now APRN, I have a growing passion for taking care of the tiniest but strongest patients. New to this role, I strive to become a mentor and educator for the evolving care of critically ill neonates. With experience in 4 different level 4 NICU’s, I use evidence based practice to guide my decisions for patients and their families. As a member of various research teams throughout my education, I understand how important multidisciplinary care is in the management of neonates. As I learn and grow in this position, I hope to advance neonatal care to provide the best outcomes for premature and critically ill infants.
Clinical Interests
Care of extremely low birth weight (ELBW) infants with delivery room management, management of infants on extracorporeal life support (ECLS)
