Personal Statement
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work with babies in some capacity. I developed my interest in the field of neonatology at a young age when I visited my mom at work in the NICU, seeing how much she loved her job and hearing stories of her little patients and their families. Working as a nurse in NICU, now an APRN and furthermore, being an aunt to a NICU preemie just expanded my passion for neonatology and enabled me to see a different perspective. My philosophy of care is simple: I love what I do, so I do it with all my heart, my mind and my strength. I will always strive to do the best for my babies and their families while providing them with the best care, celebrating the smallest victories for my babies and helping families navigate through their NICU journey with compassion and a kind heart.
My clinical interests include taking care of our complex neonate and pediatric infants in the NICU and helping families and their babies reach their goals for discharge, while coordinating different medical and home health care services for a safe discharge home.
