Get to know Alyssa Swartz, PT, DPT
Alyssa Swartz is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who joined the motion analysis lab and outpatient therapy teams at Texas Children’s in June 2023. She has previous experience working in pediatric home health and aquatic therapy. Alyssa’s passion is to work alongside children with various neuromuscular diagnoses to provide thorough evaluations and personalized and specific treatment plans. Additionally, with her educational background in public health, Alyssa loves to work with families in patient advocacy and community health education and engagement.
Personal Statement
As a physical therapist, I strive to help children understand and appreciate their unique movement capabilities and empower them to achieve goals that are both meaningful and personal to them. Outside of physical therapy, I enjoy staying active in various outdoor activities, particularly training for and competing in triathlons, cheering on my favorite sport teams, reading, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
