Personal Statement

Alyssa Sloane has an extensive background of working with children in an array of areas prior to earning her Master of Arts degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2015. She currently treats and assesses children from diverse cultural backgrounds for a plethora of disorders and delays while building an interdisciplinary approach to holistically address the needs of each patient. She continues to implement her initial education in positive guidance and believes in applying these principles and behavior modification techniques to support child engagement during therapeutic growth.

Clinical Interests:

Feeding disorders and dysphagia in the infant, early childhood, and complex patient population

Speech-language development in children from birth to 5 years of age
