Personal Statement
The birth of a new baby is usually a very special and life-changing time for many families. I am grateful that my profession affords me the opportunity to be a part of this process in caring for both well and sick newborns mostly in the community hospital setting.
Family-centered care provided with evidence based medical practice is always my aim. The aim is always to keep the parents and new infant together as much as possible to facilitate early bonding and breastfeeding whilst providing respite care as needed.
Clinical Interests
My clinical interests are in the provision of non invasive ventilation for infants with respiratory distress in resource poor settings and the care of the late preterm infant.
